The earth is covered by various types of the plants. These are the foundation of the life on the earth. There are several types of the plants. Some of them are used in medical industry, some of them are used in beuty industry, some of them are used in food industries. The link between the human being and environment is plant. This is the only link which helps to sustain life on the earth.
There are many kinds of plants on the earth. Some of them are small, some of them are big, some of them are just equal to the hight of the man. The colour of the plants are also different from each other. Some of the plants are red in colour, some of the plants are yellow in colour.
On the basis of the height of the plants, the plants are classified in three major groups.
These are trees, herbs and shrubs, climbers and creepers. The trees are the plants which are having longest height. These plants have thick stem. Example of the trees are Mango and coconut etc.
Shrubs are the plants which is not having much height as the trees have. These are the plants having less height. Rose, Tulsi etc.
Herbs are the plants which is not having much height as the Shrubs have. These are the plants having less height. Wheat, Rice, onion, coriander etc.
Climbers
There are several types of plants. Some of the plants are with weak stem. They generally take support of neighbouring trees to climb. These type of plants are called climbers. eg. Pea, Moneyplant.
There are several types of plants in which the stem is very weak. Such plants with weak stem, they cannot stand upright. These plants spread on the ground are called creepers. Example of such plants is cucumber etc.
There are several types of good uses of the plants. Plant provide us various types of the things.
1) The plants give us timber for furniture, bridges.
2) The plant give us paper. The bamboo and grass are used for making papers.
3) Some plants are used as medicine in diseases like cold. Example Tulsi, Lemongrass, and Neem.
4) Some plants used to increase taste of food. Example - Cumin, Clove.
5) Plants give oxygen during photosynthesis which is used by human being.
Technology of hybridisation - Technology is used for making the new plant. The technology is known as hybridisation.
There are two types of system in the plants. First one is the root system and second one is stem system.
Root system in the plants -
There are two types of the root system of the plants. Tap root .
Stem system of the plants -
The upper part of the plants are known as the stem system of the plants. These contain the following parts - seed, flower, leaves, fruit of the plants.
Leaf system in the plants -
The important parts of the leaves of the plants are midrib, vein, parellel venination.
Germination in the Seeds -
Some of the plants grow in water are called as aquatic plant. Example - Lotus etc.
