Yachting Club in India | Tourist Places In India


  • Boat racing was introduced as a sport during the 17th century in the country Netherlands. Seeing this, the English people started the custom of racing in yachts in the year 1851 which later was followed by many other countries in the world. In India, Yachting associations were formed in various states to encourage this sport. In fact, it is not only looked at as a sport but as a way of providing recreation in people's life. After getting independence, boating clubs were established in Bombay, Bangalore, and madras.
  • The yachting association of India was set up in the year 1960 so as to support and encourage this recreational sailing in our country. They are around 52 yachting clubs now all over our country managed and guided by YAI. Calicut Boat Club at Kozhikode, Kerala, Bombay Sappers Sailing Club at Pune, Maharashtra, EME Sailing Association at Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh, Goa Yachting Association at North Goa, and Coimbatore Sailing Association at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu are some of the famous Yachting clubs in India.

Zoo In India | Tourist Places In India


  • Our country is known for thick rain forests and vegetations which contain some of the rarest species of the world, Sanctuaries, zoos, national parks serve the purpose of protecting such rich wildlife. Protection of wildlife must be given equal importance similar to the protection of humans because wildlife does have a huge impact on human society. India is rich in wildlife which comprises mainly of elephants, crocodiles, Tigers, lions, rhinoceros etc.
  • Animals are habituated in natural surroundings forming zoos. There are around 240 zoos in our country located in various states.
    Zoos serve as a center of knowledge as well making it possible to study the wildlife in their natural habitat.
    Animals are kept in cages with maximum protection so as to avoid any damage to mankind. Endangered species are paid more attention to the zoo so that they do not become extinct.
  • A.N.JHA DEER PARK, HAUZ KHAZ at Delhi, ADINA DEER PARK at WEST BENGAL, AIZAWL ZOO at MIZORAM, ALIPORE ZOOLOGICAL GARDEN at West Bengal, ANIMAL KINGDOM at Tamil Nadu are some of the famous zoo located in various parts of India.
  • The zoo is the short form of a zoological park or the zoological garden which helps to give a good environment place to the animals and also very much useful for the people to get knowledge about the animals. The study which is about the zoo and the animals' lives in it is called as zoology. The zoo is the place which helps to save the rare animals from destruction and give them a save place.
  • In India, there are also lots of zoos which are dedicated for specific kind of animals. For example, the Vedanthangal is dedicated to the birds and the Mudumalai is dedicated to the monkeys and the Gir forest in Gujarat is dedicated to the lions. Bengal is the place that contains the zoological garden for the tigers in India. There are also places available to take care of the animals like elephants, giraffes, and rare animals.

Waterfalls in India | Tourist Places In India | Exploring India



Waterfalls are formed due to the passage of several rivers that flow across mountains and it has been technically proved that visit and taking bath in waterfalls provide many health benefits to humans. Waterfalls are found to provide serene beauty to any place. Waterfalls attract many foreigners to arrange trips in India. This would really help in increasing the revenue of any country. Since it passes over many plants and roots of many trees it is found to collect many ayurvedic medicines. More overfalls are located in dense forest and so it provides fresh air, calm and stress-free environment.
On the other hand, waterfalls have been utilized for various resources like the production of hydroelectricity and agriculture. India being an agricultural country, this seems to be a more important resource for formers. On production of hydroelectricity, the kinetic energy of water falling from several meters is utilized for the generation of electric power.
The waterfalls in India have to be maintained properly for further utilization. Tada (Ubbalamdugu) in the state of Andhra Pradesh, Dudhsagar Falls in Goa, Barkana Falls, Kalhatti Falls, Sivasamudram Falls (Cauvery Falls), Unchalli Falls (Lushington Falls) in the state of Karnataka and Kutralam Falls in Tamil Nadu are a few of the famous waterfalls in India.

Wind Power Facilities in India | Tourist Places In India


India mainly relies on fossil fuels like coal for its power generation. Experts have reported that the fossil fuel resources in India will get exhausted in another 100 years or so. Therefore the government of our country started looking at alternate sources of power such as wind and solar energy. Wind power was initiated in the 1990s and from then on it has witnessed considerable development. The growth of wind power generation in India is so drastic that within a short period of time India ranks fifth in terms of wind power capacity.
Among all the states, Tamil Nadu ranks number one with generating capacity of around 6007 MW which is nearly 50 percent of the total capacity generated through wind plants in India. The government has taken all possible efforts in increasing the number of wind power plants in our country so as to ensure that there will be enough power generation for future generations to come. In Tamil Nadu, wind power facilities are located at Cape Comorin, Kayathar, Muppandal, Perungudi, Chennai and in few other places too. In Andhra Pradesh, it is located in Puthlur and Hyderabad. In Gujarat, it is located at Lamda and in Chitradurga District of Karnataka.

Covid Vaccine Update In India



Today @airindiain @flyspicejet @goairlinesindia & @IndiGo6E will operate 9 flights from Pune with 56.5 lakh doses to Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Guwahati, Shillong, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Bengaluru, Lucknow & Chandigarh. These vaccines will be inoculated from January 16 onwards at 8 different sites.

Delhi: Covishield vaccine vials arrive at Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital, Delhi's main cold storage facility. Delhi has received 22 boxes of the Covid Vaccine, containing 1200 vials each. 2.64 lakh doses in total.

Gujarat: A van readied at the Ahmedabad airport on Tuesday morning to carry the first batch of CovidVaccine to a cold storage facility in Gandhinagar.

Bihar: The first consignment of Covishield vaccine by Serum Insitute of India (SII), brought to Nalanda Medical College in Patna, where it is being stored. 

Odisha: The first consignment of COVID19 vaccine Covishield by Serum Institute of India (SII), arrives at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

Telangana: The first consignment of COVID-19 vaccine Covishield arrives at Telangana's Immunization Complex in Koti, Hyderabad.

West Bengal: The first consignment of Covishield vaccine by Serum Institute of India (SII), brought to Central Family Medical Stores in Bagbazar, Kolkata where it is being stored.

Chandigarh: The first consignment of Covishield came to Chandigarh on Tuesday. There are 12,000 vials that have been given in the first lot for the health workers in the city.

Indian government bans AliExpress and 42 other Chinese apps on 24 November, 2020


According to the Indian government, these apps were found prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity, defence of India, the security of the state and public order'. The government of India blocked 43 Chinese mobile apps from accessing by users in India, under section 69A of the Information Technology Act.

Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has issued the order for blocking the access of these apps by users in India based on the comprehensive reports received from Indian Cyber Crime Co-ordination Center, Ministry of Home Affairs, it further stated.

Earlier on 28 June 2020, the Indian government had blocked access to 59 Chinese mobile apps and on 2nd September 2020, 118 more apps were banned under section 69A of the Information Technology Act. Government is committed to protecting the interests of citizens and the sovereignty and integrity of India on all fronts and it shall take all possible steps to ensure that.
